this was the beginning. these are the nine songs i sent keith to learn while he was writing poetry in the fucking sticks of vermont. he said he learned them all on an acoustic guitar which still makes me laugh. he got back to town, we practiced, it worked, we booked a tour. this is basically a demo. if you're one of the few people with the actual, physical cd and you're not already using it as a bite-plate for when you're getting fucked, i'd download this again. i went through this crisis about some of the mixing and mastering on the cd and pretty much re-recorded all vocals and some bass parts, remixed it, remastered it, and told everyone. the confusion i started with this band will go down as one of the most impolite and ramshackle operations of all time. multiple urls, last show ever posters, incessant plugging and pr, all the while maintaining the subtlety of a speed-crazed rhino. you live and you learn.
we don't play many of these anymore, but a couple of the best songs we have are on here.
well, here you go.
This was recorded in August and September of 2010. I was trying to figure out how to make records with basically nothing but the worst equipment. We rushed its release in order to have a nice-looking CD for our Midwest tour. I went back and re-mixed it with new vocal tracks. Then I mastered it. I think I did okay for not really knowing what the hell I was doing. Total salvage job.
My buddy Ernest Ambrus did the art. Sire Press out of PA did the pressing.
It's free because it's pretty much a demo CD. You can pay us if you want. I'll leave it up to you.
